What do I need to tell my tax preparer about REITs and Canadian bank stocks?

I live in the states and yes I'm putting off taxes to the last second. I own some Canadian bank stocks (e.g. $TD $BMO) and REITs (e.g. $VICI $O). I know vaguely they have some special tax considerations but never looked into them.

It's crunch time and I'm talking to my accountant today. Questions:

  • Is there something special I need to show my accountant about this? If so what do I say?

  • Is there specific document I need to get from the companies themselves, or is that all covered in my Brokerage's 1099 statement?

Sorry for such a dumb question but I'm desperate.
