The trade settlement period will be shorten to one day (T+1)

This is an industry wide change for most U.S. and Canadian securities traded on U.S. exchanges starting on May 28, 2024. Currently, the settlement period is two business days after the trade date (T+2).

My understanding is this new T+1 settlement period will also apply to mutual funds.
