The ‘supercore’ inflation measure shows Fed may have a real problem on its hands

Is the fed using stone age methods for a space age problem? How far do we go before we realize that raising interest rates may not be working? Housing, rents, insurance costs, etc. are way more than the 3.5%. "Tom Fitzpatrick, managing director of global market insights at R.J. O’Brien & Associates, said if you take the readings of the last three months and annualize them, you’re looking at a supercore inflation rate of more than 8%, far from the Federal Reserve’s 2% goal." Frankly my concern is that a soft landing is not achievable using these methods and nothing short of a full blown recession is going to be necessary to really get things under control.
