So Im kind of a newby and was wondering how do you guys value companies such as SOFI. From my limited understanding SOFI never really was profitable (appart from a few quarters with small positive earnings) so how can you put a price on an unprofitable company, especially a banking operation. A valuation based on assets is also difficult since this is a bank. What is the bull case for fintechs such as SOFI, what are they actually bringing to the banking sector ? I keep seeing posts coming up on unprofitable companies and I really can’t see how you guys come up with actual valuation numbers for these operations.
