Question about calculating stocks and options for taxes (Canada)

Question about declaring capital gains for taxes with stocks and options in Canada. Normally brokerages like TD and IBKR send an annual summary of your transactions with the total gain/losses.

I used to go to adjusted cost base.ca and manually input each transaction (many hundreds!) to get the ACB but was wondering about just taking the total gain/losses from these brokerage reports, adding them up and that’s what I use to declare my total capital gain/losses.

Also, I’m not claiming anything for tax loss purposes which should make things less complicated. Thanks.
