Non-Boeing US Aircraft Manufacturers, good or bad idea?

So I decided to buy the following stocks earlier today: TXT, NOC, LMT, GD. These are all US companies that manufacture jet propulsion transport planes, but currently they are only military use.

My reasonings are as follows:

  • Due to the recent Boeing failings, there's a chance that FTC breaks up the US civilian passenger jet manufacturing industry such that Boeing no longer has the monopoly. The most likely scenario is that one of those 4 companies would expand into making civilian passenger jets.

  • These are all in the US defense industry, and's a chance for US defense spending to increase due to rising tensions everywhere around the world.

Thoughts?
