We found a stock certificate among my parents belongings, it formerly belonged to my grandmother. Its for Central Illinois Public Service Company issued June 19,1975. I’ve tried researching it myself and found one site that wants $50 to research it for me, but I don’t want to pay for research on what could be only worth sentimental value. I believe the company is now Ameren Illinois, but I don’t know for sure or if there’s been splits or really anything about it at all. Should I continue searching or just frame it as a keepsake? Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated, TIA!
