Just started Roth in this market..

I am not against losing money in the market and I know it is to be expected but I recently started my Roth and am wondering if starting now was smart. I invested 5k so far this year and am all in on FXAIX. I am not super educated in the market but I have been losing money almost daily. I believe I bought all in at the worst possible time. Would I be better off to throw my money in SPAXX for the time being and then enter the market as things start to cool down a bit? I know it is hard to judge the market but in my mind it seems this early in my investment I should wait for prices to level out some and then buy in much cheaper. While I do not know what the market will bring I do hear a lot about it being overly saturated. I wish I had got in a few years sooner as the last few years have been great. Thoughts??

Also I have been considering of going all in on FZROX or VTI instead. Will those generally be less risky? I am 42 years old and do not mind being a tad risky but I am also not dealing with as much time as some. I know those do not gain as much but do they tend to lose less during down times?
