I just read an article where a husband overheard his wife’s business calls while working from home about a merger happening. He bought the stocks and then immediately sold making 1.7 million. He got caught and wife filed for divorce because she lost her job.
My question is. How do people get caught for insider trading? I mean if I work at a company. I would tell my friend. So that friend tells another friend and he tells another friend. Now that would be 4th other person not in my circle. So if he bought and sold and made millions. He can give a gift or cash in reverse and it comes back to me.
Wouldn’t that be smart? I don’t get how ppl get caught. Lol
