I’m 17 and looking for money

I get a monthly stipend from my state but that ends when I turn 18. I’m going to college soon and I’m currently too overloaded to get a job so I’m hoping that some money in stocks will help.

I realize that throwing in ten dollars will be making me only pennies, and I also know that going big in short amounts of time is impossible with small amounts of money. I am looking to make good amounts of money over time, either through stocks or bitcoin but I’m not sure if it’s good to jump in on either of these or not.

Any tips, good places to learn or start? I was thinking some money into the S&P 500 or bitcoin because they look to be semi safe. I’m not wanting millions of dollars, or even tens of thousands, just enough to cover small fees that coke with college that my many scholarships aren’t covering.
