I am considering buying stocks as a gift for a friend. I saw that there are sites such as Giveashare which can provide a framed certificate as well, which would be a nice touch to comemorate the gift. If I purchase sharesfor my friend via a site like Giveashare, can they transfer those stocks to their brokerage at a later date?
I wanted to go through a site like Giveashare since they don't yet have a brokerage account set up. But I do know that's something they plan on doing within the next year or so.
