Just curious and looking to relate:
I have analyzed Cloudfare up and down , going back to 2021. It’s been on my list and I’ve got some shares , but just 10k worth.
I got a huge bonus this year, like 50k. I thought, “hey, I’m gonna go half in on NET earnings plays.”
I even wired 25k into my account on Monday.
But then I got scared, and imagined how mad I’d be if I lost 25k. And how long it would take me to earn 25k.
Well, look at NET this morning. On the low end, my 25k would be worth about 600k (calls at $90 strike).
Good lord does this feel bad lol I know that’s basically gambling, because this exact thing happened last year on NET earnings. But it dropped before market open, and calls for killed from theta.
But I’m curious about any logic or views you have when you look back at winners you missed.
Perhaps this is no different than the regret I feel about selling bitcoin at $100 a coin… it’s just gambling when I do it to that level.
