Have £15000 kept aside, can afford to invest in stocks. What can I do with it? Also I can put in £500 per month periodically. Any advice?

I am lucky to have around £15k in my account I want to invest and grow actively. I don’t mind losing it in the process of learning (not all hopefully). Looking for what direction I should be taking. If successful would like to grow it to 30k in 3 years. Is this practical?
