I see there are many conflicting views regarding dividends in general. The general consensus seems to be that they can either be great signs or red flags depending on the company and their financial situation. What are your thought on the high dividend rates of pfe, vz, and bti? BTI in particular has done very well for me and pays a 9% annual dividend currently.
