The company in question is Symbiotic Inc, $sym.
The market cap in yahoo finance is showing around $27 billions. However, yahoo finance is also showing price/sales to be around 2.5 which is not possible with their sales being around $1.5 billion ttm.
Cnbc is also showing market cap of 27 billions while marketwatch and wall street journal is showing it around 4.5 billions matching p/s of 2.5 shown on yahoo finance.
When you calculate market cap through # of shares outstanding times price, the market cap comes out to be 4.5. Yet, in their investor presentation post money equity value is shown to be 5.4 billion at $10 stock price and with current price it should be around 27 billions.
Could any one help me figure this out. If market cap of this company is $4.5, this seems to be a great investment.
