I've watched a few videos and tried to do my own research, but can't seem to get an answer. I understand long term capital gains tax. My question is, if I keep investing into a stock every paycheck does that keep resetting the timer for it to become a long term? Or does the time stay as long as I don't sell the stock? For example let's say I bought $2,000 worth of META shares and kept adding $300 every 2 weeks for 2 years. At 2 years I decide I want to sell everything. Would I be taxed at a long term capital gains or short term capital gains? It could be a dumb question but I really don't know and am confused on the topic.
