In the 2010s privacy and data collection was a big buzz word and there was this big awareness campaign against it. Apple decided to make a stand on it, and gamble that the consumer would value its high data protection policies more than MSFT and Google etc.
10 years later, AI is clearly the new trend and obvious next evolution of growth. Did Apples policy decisions back then on data collection screw them?
I see MSFT, GOOGL, AMZN having lots of data to train on but Apple has really been behind on any sort of AI development at all.
