Authoritative book on portfolio construction?

Hi! Sorry, I imagine this has been discussed numerous times, but I didn't see quite what I was looking for in the sub's sidebar.

I currently mostly index invest, but have a small portfolio of individual stocks that I'm looking to potentially grow. Mostly interested to buy and hold stocks for at least one year, ideally much longer.

I was wondering if there are any recommended go-to books to self educate here, on stock portfolio construction? I know a few influential ones on index funds like Jack Bogle's book and the random walk book. Is there something similar (in terms of readability, respect, clout, etc) for individual stocks?
